This section is dedicated to all things WW1 aircombat.It's not quite the same as the WW2 format. Briefly, the aircraft still carry streamers (15m, not 12m) but you can only attack from the rear - head on attacks are not allowed. Aircraft tend to fly in circuits. There are ground targets, made from 4-6, 1m high polystyrene sticks held in the ground. You have to hit these with the plane, as if trench strafing, while fighting off any attacker. As the aircraft are slower than WW2 types, the overall flying is a little more sedate.
All types of aircraft are used as long as they are 1/8th scale - this makes a Fokker Dr1 have a 36" span - very flyable.
